Any recipe that sends me deeper into the book for more recipes is rejected immediately. And anything that calls for more than a few ingredients- unless they are just herbs- is dismissed. This leaves me with a limited repertoire of pasta and sauce from a jar, and baked chicken. I am in good company, though..

A Maria Callas story:

Callas was ill and her good friend Marlene Dietrich (who had the reputation of being an excellent cook) arrived with a prime cut of beef and made from scratch a spectacular broth for her sick friend, the kind that if it didn't cure you, you would die happy.
Callas tasted it and said, "Delicious. What brand of cubes did you use?"

Really, I just wanted to tell a story that showed I have class. I feel I may have damaged my reputation yesterday with the Poo Party.
Although I certainly enjoyed myself.

We went to a sushi place last night for dinner. I thought if we had gone Chinese we could have ordered a Po Po tray. Dan didn't understand the humor of it all. THose things just don't retell well.
