What is MSFT multiplier in the DOW?

Same as every other stock in the Dow. 3pts of MSFT = 3 pts of IBM = 3 pts of T = etc.

I think DOW stocks are equally weighted, and the weight is about 1 pt = 4 DOW pts. At least that's what was said when IBM gapped down (12 pt gapdown = 48 DOW pts).

So, MSFT off 3 or 4 pts is nothing much. But, a lot can happen (in re: MSFT) between now and Monday's opening. So at this time, nothing can be counted.

Except sentiment.

Which is the ultimate driver of stocks. Tech stocks are quite overextended, so the turnabout could be swift and sharp. As you may recall, AG has opined about swift changes in investor sentiment. But what does he know (BWDHK?). -ng-
