I see this market as oppossits. (Forgive the spelling its late in NY). This Microsoft problem will be spun as a positive, eventually. Monday will be ugly for the dow. Flat for the NAZ though Volitile. A few days after, a big dip. When everyone reviews there positions.

This will be in the news. Buy when there is a sense of dread. Not Monday. Any true problems (interest rate hike)would have been more telegraphed. Microsoft will be the stock to dump. Thats when you buy. They are too well connected. Conspiracy theary. Orchestrated.

There CEO tried to front run the ruling by tanking the market with their statements about overvaluation. They want cheep aquisitions. Microsoft will truly own the future if they can invest in all the posible paths we will take. The cheeper the better.

If Micro gets hammered Monday buy leaps. If they are split up it will be viewed as an initial public offering of several new companies. The reality is this is what they want. Anyone can see the market is broad. The posibilities are endless. Dont forget for every seller there is a buyer. The speculative value of which will give us the blowoff top many have been looking for. Or maybe avoid one. After all the market started at zero did'nt it.
Or maybe the saving grace of the buble economy many refuse to see. After a reality check in the market. They will come out with the talking heads telling everyone everything is OK. The firt in will be the first to profit from the top. The shareholders will own The dominant venture tehnology firm of the new millenia.
Not a bull.
Just a capitulated bear trying to stay flat. This week saved my ass.

It's all the shorts buying the market, they keep getting trapped like
dumb bears. Every time they see it start to sell off they rush to
short it , the specialist, market makers, and broker dealers
love em, then they buy the futures after market and trip the
programs to buy mode next day which starts the gap up, they see the stop loss orders and push it up to them to have a ready made
market to sell to, as long as the retail shorts rush the market
it will go to high heaven the more they can't believe it the more
they wind up buying what they sold cheaper.
It's not the bulls running up the market so much as it's the shorts, falling into one trap after another.
When they run low on margin to short with and stop rushing it
then it will fall. 2/3rd the volume you see is just the
shorts fighting the tape and cussing the gap ups.
