Kate doesn't have any of the husky in her but she does have they greyhound. We buy her toys and she rips them apart instantly.

A friend went on vacation and left his year old lab at home. I went by twice a day to let him out, change the papers and give him food and water. On the last morning he had gotten bored and moved everything in the house to the floor. Books, cushions, bed spread, pillows, tables emptied, chairs tipped over......but the only thing damaged was the roll of toilet paper.

We just rescued a 1 yr lab mix neutered female (Maile) from the pound. Spot, our 5 yr Border Collie has fallen deeply in love with her. They lick each others faces and he herds her around. He lets her bark to protect the house (his long-time chore). He shares everything with her. She has settled in in just two days. She was listed as a "stray" but she won our hearts with her friendliness and intelligence. She does love raiding garbage cans, though. She is very well behaved, but will not leave the house to relieve herself in the yard by herself, but comes to a human and asks. This dog was loved and educated before it was abandoned who knows for what necessity. The Honolulu Humane Society is beautiful and usually manages to get all healthy dogs placed. We have no rabies, and imported dogs are quarantined unless direct flights from rabies free territories. Spot is from Australia. Even mixed breed puppies sell for $200 or more.

The thought of a dog crouched on top of the refrigerator is more than I could bear. I am definitely a cat person, although I am rather fond of Lizzie.

Husky atop the fridge ... Any chance this creature could
have been that rarest of breeds, the ice boxer? ... :)
