Ramsey, I'm in the "buy" camp. My feeling is that this ruling is a blessing in disguise for MSFT shareholders, and Gates. If the company is ordered to break up, the stock will rally up big IMO, because the "monopoly" will be broken up. Yea right. We'll just have several Microsoft tracking stocks and the monopoly will continue because we, as consumers, want it to continue because there's nothing better out there than Windows.

My hope is that Gates will settle, and then voluntarily break up the company, starting with MSN. If you've noticed, Microsoft's online shopping site is now selling direct to the consumer, not referring the consumer to resellers. Just wait until you can only buy software via download from Microsoft directly. Those online resellers will vanish quickly. This could be another spin-off.

If the stock goes south for while, so be it. I feel that I'm prepared with AOL, RHAT, SUNW holdings as hedges.

Just don't focus too much on Monday. Yea, we may see a panic sell-off, but fund managers have a farther horizon than what happens this coming week. There's that fundamental thing, and future earnings they consider first, before they follow the tape.

Tighten your seat belts, the roller coaster ride start Monday morning. I'll be in the front seat, cheering <gg>
