You really are mixed up Valentine. No wonder you think so many people are going to hell. Not many could follow the mental contortions you believe are necessary for salvation. You have only spouted useless drivel here.

Don't be so sensitive. You seem to figure I'm a devious bastard out to harass you and your God. I'm a guy using spare time (wasting?) on a coffee shop thread as I'm fully invested and don't have the free funds to use for any more investing ideas I could dig up.

My questions to you are of course mostly a matter of intellectual curiousity. I figured your present faith wasn't a family tradition. I have this idea that Calvinist theology (and thats what you are - a Calvinist) doesn't persist more than a generation or two. Consider New England which was founded by extremely religious Calvinist Puritans. As soon as Puritanism lost the power to enforce itself on its community, most of the Puritans fell from religion altogether or adopted new doctrines - Unitarianism, Mormonism, and lots of other new sects. New England today is primarily populated by descendents of the Puritans and is by far the least religious part of the nation. The same thing is true of those parts of Europe once dominated by Calvinist and Lutheran beliefs. So I figure Calvinism only continues to exist by finding virgin soil.

IMO your description of your religious background makes you seem more like a human being.

God however came and GOT ME ....... I was not unhappy nor sensing any stupid so-called VOID in
my LIFE ! I was like you oblivious to my need of Salvation. He moved
upon me .. and I doubt your interested so I will leave it at that
because it was a long drawn out process...

You left out the most interesting part of your story. Please continue. Also what denomination are you now?
