Brian Malloy: I downloaded every version of NSCP that I ever used or it came free with an AAPL O/S. The blatant way that this guy ignores the facts is ridiculous. The an has no grasp of the industry and is being used by MSFT's competitors. Also Gillette used to give awy the razor in order to get you to buy the blades - it still gives a healthy discount on the razor if you buy the combo pack. The same can be said for Italian Seasoning I buy. They give away the mixing cruet with 2 packs of their mix. This is a technique that is not new and has never been challenged that I know of in the past. I guess also that the judge has forgotten his comment that the AOL/NSCP merger has changed the whole perspective.

Yes, but it is working because they have a stoneage judge. MSFT will win on appeal, unless they cave into an unfavorable settlement. But, in the meantime, Justice wins. MSFT can't push its MSN product (byt he time this case if over, MSN will be a dinosaur) and can't takeover any internet companies, etc.
