Re: Stock effect

There is an excellent interview today in TheStreet.com at thestreet.com with Roger McNamee (one of the heaviest hitters in the institutional investment game) which I highly recommend. Here's the end quote:

McNamee: But I don't think it matters one bit what the outcome is, I assume the stock will go up because you will have eliminated whatever uncertainty there is. There are just a zillion institutional investors who are just waiting to buy it. Still.

How low will MSFT stock price drop on Monday due to the decision? And will money start to rotate away from MSFT stock, and into MSFT's enemies' stock like AOL? I'm wondering how long I should wait for MSFT stock to drop before getting back in...thanks.

Peter, After digesting the information, i have also decided to keep my stock holding. The stock is probably should be trading at about 150 if their was no DOJ crap. Therefore, i don't believe it is a bad investment if your time horizon is 1 month or more!!

Petah: Odd that one who flaunts his investing prowess should humble himself to inquire of us poor colonialists on the outcome of future events. That being said it seems you have decided prudently to hold. In any event this stock IS going higher long term - short term if you are nervous buy some puts. Use your own judgement on the strike and month based on your opinion of how long lived the histrionics will be. JFD
