I use eSignal, for my LVL II, charts, news, etc., & Waterhouse for trading. I haven't switched from Waterhouse because I trade off margin using my longterm holdings.

In order to open an account with A.B. Watley, which I did demo, the Ultimate Trader, or switch to any other brokerage I would need to transfer all of my holdings, or liquidate them, in order to start trading right away.

I am not ready to be out of commission for the 2 to 3 weeks that it takes to transfer my stocks. And I am not into liquidating my long term holdings, either.

I do have DSL and it has made my trading with Waterhouse much faster then dial up. Cable is not available in the part of the city I live in yet, which is Denver.

Using eSignal with LVL II for a hair over $200 a month and trading with Waterhouse at $12.00 per trade, its gets to be a bit pricey. Whereas, using A.B.Watley is cheaper if you trade at least 50 times a month with the Ultimate Trader.

Does anyone have any suggestions how you can get your stocks transfered to another brokerage in a shorter period of time?
I must say that up until this last Friday, my eSignal has worked just fine. Friday it crashed and burned but my Waterhouse worked just fine.

Thanks in advance,
Jo
