Mark, Good article, thanks for the link. I have always followed basic rules of diversification, but only on the way in!!. If CMGI wants to rise to be a disproportionate part of my portfolio so be it. Selling a winner to keep a mythical balance makes as much sense as buying more of the worthless biotechs I hold so that they would equal the same percentage of my portfolio. I have taken profits in CMGI and other stocks, but always keep the bulk of my positions. They all end up with zero or below basis, so I have a lot of room on the downside before I panic.

Also implicit in the sell on moves theory is the watching the tape mentality that causes overreactions in the market.

My wife just reminded me that we have guests coming and I have to go pound some tuna for carpaccio. Have a good weekend.
