Hi Jim, well I keep 8-12 windows open. SI, news, broker, streaming quotes...plus a window for daily charting software and then at least 4 charts of continuously updating realtime movements. If I get overloaded I do have a laptop and an additional phone line. I also keep some windows open to go find info that I need during the day...symmetrical triangles, fundamentals etc. I find it's faster to have the subjects already up and on individual windows than try to bring something in when I need it. If you keep a window open with an order form ready to fill (for trading), you can act instantly. Like many on this thread I'm looking for a better online broker that might simplify things a little. The problem is finding a broker that executes well...and provides unlimited streaming or automatically updating large numbers of quotes with good real time charting and fast news etc. Even then I'd have to keep at least a few windows open but hopefully fewer than now. Having said all that, I still mostly position trade and only daytrade when the opportunities are too great to ignore...as the last 2-3 weeks have been. Regards. Stan
