Brian, the Globalstar Qualcomm handsets work really well. But that doesn't mean Globalstar is ready to go. It isn't. They haven't even got a graph of minutes used on their globalstar.com site yet. The FBI won't let them start service. They don't have licences yet for some places. They don't have gateways all over the place. The constellation isn't even complete. Ericy and Telit are still trying to get their handsets working properly, let alone producing hundreds of thousands of them.

Leap will have to continue with terrestrial coverage without Globalstar competition from AirTouch.
