Thanks for the getback, eric. I'll go look for a website for Continental just as soon as I get off this thread. If they have any pictures of these modern CA goldpiecs, I be back through and post said URL for others as well.

Did you say they call these things gold COINS? Do they actually have a monetary denominations stamped on their obverse or reverse, or just their weight and purity stamp?

BTW, I found it curious as to your assessment for all the secrecy surrounding their gold token stamping process. I know of one small mint in particular who has their stamp mill visible right from their
retail floor, behind a 1/2 wood, 1/2 glass wall on 2 sides, so that
when he is making either gold or silver tokens, he can keep an eye
on his shop when he's inside making 1 oz gold or silver tokens. And,
when he is outside on the sales floor, he is able to keep an eye on
his automated equipment. Either way, it delights his customers to watch it all when he gets going good.

I have talked to him at length and he has never mentioned needing a
"federal permit." Kinda sounds like someone is blowing smoke up past
your cufflinks, eric. Stay alert. Would only cost you about $30 to get one of your new tokens assayed to see if it really is the purity
I suspect is stamped on the gold.

Hi, Irony Man...just curious as to whether or not the premium on the California gold you and I were discussing back in November has softened say in relationship to either the Maples, Pandas or the Eagle fractional gold series?

Appreciate the response.
