i do that all the time too, on window 98 using netscape.

Open up the file, let the cursor settle on new and when navigator window shows...click on it.

I use Netscape on my old desktop, even the older versions allowed multiple windows.

You can always upgrade Netscape but that doesn't sound like the problem.

What version of netsacpe are you using. I open 3-6 all the time.
