I never even thought to ask for a search warrant. What for? I had nothing to hide.

The FBI Special Agent in charge told me that they had hurried there at the request of the SEC, had waited outside my home for 4 hours till we returned from dinner out with friends. Wouldn't let us enter our house till the bomb squad finished their search,

The complaint was directly from the SEC as a result of my letter. They said the letter had an odor - subsequently shown to be old sulfite pulp in the envelope. I said in the letter words to the effect that Solucorp investigation would generate an odor that would permeate the halls of the SEC. Ergo the raid. The FBI was apologetic but Agent in Charge said that Bomb Squad was SOP in a situation like this and they had to respond thusly for a sister agency.

Scarey! Shows what can happen to any citizen who dares address a complaint in positive language. I sent copies of the same letter in old envelopes from the same box on September 22 to my Congressman and both Senators and have yet to receive a reply. The FBI said they could smell the odor as I gave them sample envelope from same box. Also gave them copies of all correspondence.
