John, I have been advising my clients for some time to switch from MSFT to QUALCOMM. The latest to switch, traded in his MSFT when both stocks were in the 80's. QCOM closed yesterday at 294. But the difference between the two companies is more than price. QCOM has followed a strategy of ENCOURAGING competition, rather than running it into the ground, and as a result has greatly increased the overall growth rate for digital cellular. Too bad MSFT doesn't see that there is a better way to grow than by trying to restrain the competition.
