I think you wil get an initial drop and perhaps even a dead cat bounce. I don't day trade and would never short a stock that could have a major announcement that would make me lose a lot of money quickly (i.e., Rambus. Just look at all those shorts that hung on believing Rambus would fall more after dropping 30%. The risk was a good announcement and a gap up open. That's what happened. In just two trading days. So, my position is going to try to get something for the Nov 90 calls I had (I thought the release would be negative but MSFT would trade higher) and then to leave MSFT until the dust settles. There are just too many other ways to make money today.
