Correct. Also consider the partial effect of a steeply discounted MSFT in corporate & individual tax terms. Finally, it's the money, that counts.

I'm strictly apolitical, ie I may nerver oust a (left or right) political position - but, it appears that noone raised the question whether all that "consumer protection" buzz is shortlived and simply aims at the next U.S. elections.

(In my homecountry, we just had elections and I have watched unsubstantiated claims gyrating before the vote but a strange silence on certain topics soon afterwards. The unwashed masses will get shortchanged again).

Ultimately, do not underestimate the bullish "bad news out, good news to come" mechanics.

Bad example. OJ was guilty MSFT isn't. Our judicial system has been reduced to politics. MSFT is unpopular in the press and they don't have a race card to play. Their only hope is that the Appelate Court will rule on the merits and not on the innuendo and speculation. The consumer was not harmed. JFD
