The vast majority of internut companies will never turn a dime in profit, but it hasnt stopped the entire population from throwing their money at them because of the "dream" factor.

They will throw money monday at every MSFT competitor come monday.

And here's another prediction: CNBC will keep track of two seperate Naz and Dow figures tomorrow. If the dow is down 200, they will ALWAYS say in the same sentence "but if you subtract out microsoft, the market is actually up"

Just like inflation indexes- if you subtract food, energy, housing, automobiles, commodities, and clothing, you can proudly state there is no inflation and stocks should go higher.

I would only be _slightly_ surprised if CNBC puts a second "non microsoft included" Dow and Naz ticker on their screen monday along with the "real" ticker.
