...the nasdaq July top had 12 record sessions from the 6/25 low, we completed record session 11 on friday from the october lows (record sessions are continuous higher highs - intraday ok, 1-2 consolidation days allowed in the record session if they don't break trend)...

possibility of a liquidity problem ?...

AH, there are many well-defined indicators out there that more accurately predict what you have qualitatively tried to describe e.g. fast and slow stochastic indicators, Williams %R, Momentum, RSI. These indicators effectively capture various flavors of the "rubber band" theory, but it's fun to read your equine and wild west analogies.

Several other stocks exhibiting extreme trending behavior which may be of interest to you, and ready for a much needed "rest":

LWIN
DIGL
FSFH
XTON
SSSW
ACRU
RAZF
BRNC
ANCR
NTIG
