In fact if MSFT breaks up, it will lead to larger stocks valuations. Look at when Rockefeller's empire was broken. The govt will in my opinion not ask MSFT to break up. MSFT may break up itself. Then the shares are going to explode. Bill gates worth may double or triple to 250 billions If MO breaks up tobacco and food, MO is going to see big rise. At 25, u are getting the tobaco business for almost free.

If GORE should win the credit for information highway, then why should not Microsoft have the glory of bring about the internet age ? Your post is full of prejudice !!!!! Hopefully your PC is not installed with window and other Microsoft's products. It is easy to say , but hard to do

Reagan's prosperity, Greenspan's appointer (Reagan), Gingrich's balanced budget: I guess we all see things differently. Many business people think that, absent the harm they do to the private sector, the politicians have very little to do with the real economy -- other than Gore inventing the Internet. I'm sorry my sarcasm irked you. And I hope you're right about MSFT price. It's a fantastic company that is going to be compelled to change some of its behavior, rightly or wrongly.
