You'll get no argument from me on that post. I especially liked the "I'm no lawyer" perspective. I think the legal profession is second only to the social sciences in being abused on SI by obviously inept posters.

Now I'd better switch topics or U.F. will get his P.I. (Prosperous Investing) swatter after me. So under the guise of "when to buy a gorilla", I'll mention one (and only one) of the reasons why I only added halve of a "desired LT addition" this past summer/fall. As a lurker, you key on anomalies. MSFT wasn't just positive (in the cc), they were ebullient. Why? Well now if you have a stock that's having trouble staying out of the 80s and if you both expect a legal hit and have sold 70 puts, what do you do?
