Idler,

When Dr. J. talked about "orthogonal" technology, he was referring to CDMA. The codes, or the sequences of numbers, that are used in CDMA are orthogonal. Orthogonal is a mathematical property that describes the relationship between number sequences.

My take on his answer was basically NO. He could not say it that directly, but listening between the lines that is what I heard.
