Reporting Next Week
The coming week looks like being one of the busiest for some time. At least nine FTSE 100 companies are giving updates of one description or another. Here are the highlights, giving an indication of what to look out for.

On Monday food producers Associated British Foods (LSE: ABF - news), chaired by 70-year-old Garry Weston, who also owns a majority of the shares, and Unigate (LSE: UNIG - news), the dairy operator, report full year and interim figures respectively. Both are expected to show profits slightly down on last year, because of the tough climate for agricultural goods lately.

More exciting will be the largest FTSE stock BP Amoco's (LSE: BPA - news) third quarter results, which should be better than rival oil company Shell's (LSE: SHEL - news) this week. British Airways (LSE: BAY - news) will also unveil interim figures, which are already expected to be significantly down.

Three very exciting companies in the trendy telecom, technology and internet sectors respectively report on Tuesday. Colt Telecom (LSE: CTM - news) is expected to turn in a maiden profit for the third quarter on revenue up over two thirds to approximately œ105m. Meanwhile analysts are also looking for a œ1.6m pre-tax profit from Imagination Technologies (LSE: IMG - news) for the first half of its fiscal year. And last but not least internet debutant QXL.com (LSE: QXL - news) outlines its first interim figures as a listed company.
