I use Explorer as well and for the last two weeks I've been having access problems. Then on Friday of last week (10/30) I noticed I could get in with Netscape Communicator but not Explorer. I called this into Schwab and they of course blamed everything from my ISP to my computer. Persistent bugger that I am, I've been calling it in every day mainly because its kept me out of 3 or 4 trades and I was quite frustrated. Well, lo and behold, yesterday (Friday) I spoke with a technician who acknowledged that they have a bug that locks out Explorer 5.0+ users and that they had known about it for over a week. This first started happening 2 weeks ago right after they backed out the failed attempt to add capacity. Yet up until Friday, they refused to acknowledge it even though they'd known about it for a week. I think this epitomizes Schwab's attitudes regarding support.

Needless to say, in lieu of this + the general capacity problem they have and will continue to have, I've started the process to move my accounts. I don't mind paying higher commissions for better service and/or reliability but I'm getting neither from Schwab.
