hmmmmm.... depends on what aspect of China you are referring to....

The people or their leaders....

The people are tremendous and incredibly business oriented....

There leadership, however, are bent upon preserving their priviledges and prestige, even at the expense of the economic health of the nation...

A lot of potential there, but it won't be unleashed until the rights of investors and property owners are respected. The rule of law cannot remain arbitrary and pronounced by those possessing political priviledge.

But economically, they know they have serious problems over there.... but the current power struggle between the Jiang and Zhu and the military is preventing any progress from being made.

China = stagnation/deflation and continuing aversion by western investors to taking risks there.
