ASB...< Pundits predict there will be about 1 billion wireless users by 2003. But most agreed that number is rather conservative. Anyway Q will receive
3-5 % of the phone sales.

At an average price of $300 (excluding service providers' discounts), Q makes about $10 on every phone sale. That means for royalties alone Q can make 10
billions in 2003. That's pure profit. >.....
My reading of this statement does not equal 1 Billion NEW wireless uses Per year...but a build up To that figure including past ,present, and projected future sales till the 1 Billion figure is achieved........Correct my if I'm wrong Please......Tim

<< Btw, did Ford own the combustion engine for awhile? If it did, maybe we can draw an analogy to Q.>>

As a matter of fact, Ford successfully challenged the 'Selden Patent' which covered the internal combustion engine and drive train elements necessary to make an 'automobile'. Until Ford's challenge, all automakers were paying royalties to the patent holder. Hope there's no analogy to be drawn.

Quite a run we've been on.
