Mytrack. Hi 2MARS$, maybe I'm just missing it but when I look at their service plans I only see Level II offered on the platinum plan. It's still a good deal with a hefty rebate after a certain number of trades to cover costs. >>>edit<<< Oh I see, you're saying you can buy the level II service for 50 bucks...got it!

The only thing that bothers me about mytrack is the lack of an automated shorting capability. What's up with that? I don't short much but I like to have that as an easier option. Do you keep another account open for that possibility?

>>>We will allow you to start entering short sale orders/indications
between the hours of 4:15 PM EST and 8:00 AM EST. This will be
your way of telling us that you are interested in shorting a
particular stock for the NEXT trading day. For example, entries
made from 4:15 PM Monday to 8:00 AM Tuesday will be indicators
for the Tuesday market day. At 8:05 AM each morning we will
contact Herzog and get approvals for all shorts entered over night.
All orders that are approved will be left intact. Those orders that
are not approved will be canceled.<<<<

I suppose because of their size they don't always (or often) have shares available to lend on a number of securities...perhaps it's that way with most of the better online brokers and mytrack simply wants to be sure they're available before they make you go to the trouble of placing an order...the smaller and more streamlined they are the less margin, the fewer share to lend etc...just thinking out loud here.

Anyway, overall they look very good. Thanks for sharing the info.

Stan
