Y'know ... we never got those tin watercolor sets. So there's an experience I missed.
We got Magic Rocks each Christmas in the mid-Sixties. (I have nooooo clue what was in them. I just remember that if you jostled them, it didn't work right.) The other cherished "toy" was a soap animal called a Fuzzy Wuzzy. You get it wet, set it in an undisturbed place and it would grow "fur". After that, you could use it as soap. Nowadays all we got are Chia Pets.

Chia Pets are great mail-order gifts for people you know to have a sense of humor.
