What I want to know is whether you think Al Gore was instrumental in "inventing" the internet. You're answering a post that suggests that Al was in fact VERY instrumental in establishing the internet. Why don't you address that statement too?

It's amazing how uninformed a lot of people are! I'm sure they think Bill Gates invented operating systems too!
Bill Gates and Microsoft have not contributed ONE ORIGINAL idea to computing! I challenge anybody to name one!

You're right. Now that I recall Gates was late getting in on the internet. Could have bought AOL for 100 million bucks but didn't want to. Same mistake Ross perot made qwith Microsoft ten years earlier. Had a chance to buy it when it was almost nothing. The greatest investment mistakes ever made maybe
