I don't hate MSFT. I do however, resent that they won't allow me to have my application suite of choice on a PC from Dell or Gateway, which I would have preferred to purchase from.

They stifled my choice in their greedy insistence that I have their suite on a PC from Dell or Gateway. I realize that these exclusive agreements are common in all industries, but it remains that MSFT stifles choice in this one area, which happens to be a huge cash cow for MSFT. Such a coincidence! Not.

Brian, as to your thought about "stable suppliers" etc, ever notice how often Dell switches vendors for video cards? Hmmmm. Those contracts seem kinda short, don't you think? Whereas for all these years, Dell and Gateway have insisted you have to have only MS app suite, except for a very brief foray by Gateway.

I rest my case.
