If you sell the MS application programs on every one PC you sold , you get this discount , otherwise you got that discount ...etc
What is the problem with that ? If COREL wants to compete , it can offer a even more aggressive discount package to compensate the revenue loss of hardware vendors as a result of selling Corel's app program, but Corel did not want to compete in the free market , instead, they want to compete in the court!!!!

AMD competes very aggressively with Intel in the CPU business, AMD's CPU price is always 25% lower comparing the similar CPUs sold by Intel, that is why AMD got part of the CPU market , and open up its CPU market . That is what so called competion with the free market force.
