Try consulting Webster's, kis. Think of it as an intelligent spellchecker.

KIS,
OT(My apologies to David for cluttering up his AMZN thread),
"Sic" is Latin for "thus" and is inserted into quotations "[sic], to call attention to the fact that some
remarkable or inaccurate expression, misspelling, or the like, is literally reproduced."

For example, one could use "[sic]" in this manner:

"To all you chatters:
why not you guys find another thread to chat all these
unrelated BS? I am here trying to find info of amzn.
if i happen to drop in wrong place to disturb you
'smart monkeys'dream, just let me know. or maybe
i forget that ya all are a group of no-boy/girl-friend lone intelligent aliens and i am a dumb who unfortunately has to listen to my kids' cry.
Go figure 100 or more posts back.[sic]"

or in this manner:

"To all you chatters:
why not[sic] you guys find another thread to chat all these[sic] unrelated BS? I am here trying to find info of[sic] amzn. if i happen[sic] to drop in[sic] wrong place to[sic] disturb you 'smart monkeys'[sic] dream, just let me know. or maybe i forget[sic] that ya[sic] all are a group of no-boy/girl-friend[sic] lone[sic] intelligent aliens and i am a dumb[sic] who unfortunately has to listen to my kids' cry.[sic]
Go figure[sic] 100 or more posts back.[sic]"

Whereas, "stet" is a proofreading or copy editing tool not meant to appear in a finished product.
