An AirTouch advertisement for Globalstar service, featuring a Qualcomm phone, appears in the current issue of Professional Surveyor Magazine. This magazine is widely distributed free of charge to surveying and civil/evironmental engineering professionals. I thought it was a good advertisement and it stated that Globalstar did not have the delay problems associated with other Sat Phones.

The advertisements in this publication always feature a pretty model or some guy in new clothes. The AirTouch ad had a certain realism and refreshingly showed a particularly scruffy guy running the instrument in the middle of nowhere.

The ad did state that initial service included North America.
