Haven't seen that story. Born and raised in Duluth and watched the High Bridge go up. Actually there are two major bridges between Duluth and Superior now. The older one, the high bridge, a Democrat politician had named after himself. The newer one is more appropriately named for Richard Bong, a WWII Air Force ace and hero who died in action.

Ish, I saw where an 8 year old kid drove a car across the Duluth-Superior bridge. I don't know if you've ever been down that way but that's one scary bridge. "Ignorance is Bliss" I've heard about that bridge. That veteran truckers have freaked and had to be helped across. You can bet I'll never drive on it! I still haven't driven over the sunshine skyway bridge on a beautiful day. I take the long way around. BTW How's the weather in central Ill. now? I'm thinking of going up to see my son pretty soon.
