An active matrix screen will be much easier to see and read than a dual scan. The downside is the additional cost and the fact that it will drain your battery faster than with a dual scan screen. It is well worth the price to go ahead and buy a laptop with an active matrix screen. Battery life is improving greatly. I would recommend that you take some time and read the laptop reviews at PC Magazine online.
