TA, JDSU, QCOM, trendlines and channels - continued. white-crane.com This chart shows what QCOM has done over the past six months. Like JDSU, it is in an up-trending channel. It is also at the top of that channel. Earnings were just released, and the stock has soared. QCOM is at the top of the channel, which is dangerous. But it shows may go higher. Two other technical indicators do not yet give sell signals. The RSI is overbought, but has not yet turned down. The Stochastic Oscillator is overbought and tipping over, but still does not say sell. I'm willing to watch QCOM closely next week. But I'm waiting to pull the trigger and buy some puts. white-crane.com Here's another good reason to be cautious next week -- it's the Nasdaq composite. Note the channel it's been in since February. We're at the top of that channel. This indicates we can expect the Nasdaq to turn around and go down next week. This will drag down even great stocks like JDSU and QCOM. Here are some more charts of stocks that are in good up-trend channels, but at their highs. I'm not going to comment on each one individually. I just want you to get the idea that JDSU and QCOM are not alone. There's nothing unique about their meteoric rise.
