Dale, Once again, you illustrate why this thread, in addition to being a virtual meeting place for people with whom one would like to be friends as well as share investing insights, is so much more--I refer to your closing comment.

"Now, back to our regularly scheduled program."

Schwab online is a mess. Their problems run much deeper than just being overloaded and crashing. They didn't even tell me they were having problems in the hours I spent on the phone Th/Fri trying to straighten out their screwup. Found out on the SI/Yahoo boards. The team manager told me twice, "You did everything right," and, that the system was operatiing normally--"just a little slow in reporting back, but within acceptable limits." Then why am I out$12k--and plain lucky it was not far more (not to mention frozen out of the market Thurs/Fri?

Won't bore you with details, but I have been operating within SCH's limitations as I have learned to understand them--except I found out there are additional non-disclosed limitations that make SCH unreliable for ST trading.

I don't know about a short, but SCH is toast as an investment IMO. They encourage online tradiing, but do not acknowledge the fundamental flaws in their system just as serious competition is gearing up. I went to the Chairman's Div. Dealt with an arrogant sob. Next step, arbitration. They have me so PO'd next stop legal. Have some other ideas too to get the word out beyond posting. on the threads.

The $12k is part of it, sure. but I am a big boy and can handle losses. It's part of the game. What I can't abide is being misled, esp. by an org that plays off of its "solidness" in its advertising and public pronouncements.

What is important is to regain focus and not let myself get so wrapped up in my being PO'd at SCH that I give up--or worse, violate basic discipline (Now there is a potential subject for an article). Typically, I've done best right after a setback and a short breather--renewed focus I guess. See what happens this time.

Looks like NITE might be worth playing again. Ya think it is responding to the the changing online investing world? The market sure thought so last week. Nearly a double in a little over 2 weeks. If it gets past 40 with some momo, it looks like a lot of upside after. I got out of HAS with a nice profit when it stalled. But it has a lot more going for it than POKE Wizard cards (online games the latest)--and still looks like a value stock to me. May get back in on Mon.

Wha' happened to those other values of just a week ago--DIGL, MSGI?. Whew. Don't blink, or get too distracted by setbacks <<ggg>>

Say Dale, now that you are a momentum "expert" how about a TI article on finding/entry/exut/reentry strategies for momo plays. I know there are sites out there on the subject, but since we are the albatrosses around your willing neck, maybe you could do a little sorting for us--in your spare time of course <<ggg>>. Thanks,

Jim
