Funny, on the AMD thread, they are claiming just the opposite is happening. According to the AMD supporters, Intel is the one having trouble producing high MHz processors (Coppermine) in volume. Meanwhile, AMD could drive even further ahead in MHz if they wanted to, but they won't because they want to "keep a few trump cards in their hand."

You should read some of the theories posted on that thread, which basically amount to Intel being very desperate, yada yada. If I based my investment decisions solely on those theories, I'd have sold all my INTC and went long on AMD instead. And that would have been a pretty poor decision.
