Jim,
thats the one thing I don't llke about the fido site, it does time you out after just a few minutes...it's irritating to have to log in again constantly throughout the day. The other thing I wish would change is the high commish for phone trades...I don't see why that should be more that internet trades.

Robert

Yes Fidelity times you out after 5 to 10 minutes. The nice thing is that I believe they bring you right back to where you were after you reenter your password information. It is an annoyance but I have come to accept it. I currently have 13 windows open on my computer and it is running just fine. It is important to remember to regularly clear your cache in order to keep your short term memory from overloading.

To do this with Netscape you simply left click on the Edit button on the top menu. Next left click on preferences and a new list will come up. Click on the + sign where it says advanced then clear your disk cache. I recommend doing this several times a day to keep your computer loading quickly.

Those who are running Internet Explorer will have a different methodology. Remember that the internet is a tremendous resource of information. Nearly every computer problem we face has been discussed and solved online somewhere. I like to use searches at Excite for information. It beats the heck out of spending hours reading a manual.

Well I got a bit off topic for your question. If you are not actively using Fidelity, they require that reaffirm that you are the actual owner of the account so that no one else could just walk up to your computer and begin trading your account. Just my opinion.
