Seems to be a plethora of Celerons and a lack of P-IIIS. You don't suppose that Intel shut down P-III production to switch to the Floppermine and when the Floppermine launch went "Flopsky" in the woods...well Intel got caught with their pants down? No Pee-IIIs and no Floppermines due to various reasons I don't need to go in to.
E-Machines selling P-IIIs is enough evidence for me that Intel prematurely dumped its lower speed Pee-IIIs. Meanwhile the Celerons headed out the door at their low ASPs. The fact that Intel didn't lower the Celeron prices suggests Intel is scrambling desperately to protect it's margins this Q...Especially with the lack of high margin Pee-III es and ebs...
