All motherboards are almost the same in features and constructions, except for different South Bridge chipset. ASUS board has more OC (clock adjustment) options. FIC prices are the lowest because they are going for high volume. MSI has the board in the market from the beginning. They started selling it at $250 and the price has come down substantially. ASUS priced its board high because of its good reputation and OC features on the motherboard.

Here is some more data for you - Athlon proliferation of small computer stores in the Bay area based on the free publication "Computer Currents(CC)". I'll update it every time there is a new edition of CC, for the next two months.
This may help us track the Athlon proliferation, and to see if Athlon would have any push effect on K6-xx sales.
