There is so much to learn from many threads at SI. I'll keep the thread bookmarked and I'll lurk on it from time to time as it has much valuable information.

I guess this would be the line referenced of Jill's decision.

Unpleasant exchanges have a way of absolving themselves, Jill. Give it some time and don't resign to just walk away from it. Go have a laugh and a drink with Max90 on the eBay thread to encounter some real SI insanity extremism. After you remove the hatchet from your forehead that Max will gladly embed if you mention something like gross margins, revenue growth and no inventory, then come back and cuddle up with some nice warm Gorilla folks.

Jill,

LindyBill, Chaz and Mike Buckley also responded positively to her post.

It's such a non-event for me personally (not suggesting that it shouldn't be otherwise for others) that I'm not sure I remember correctly. I think you are referring to my post about the very specific issues as they apply to women's interests and concerns about public personal finance forums. If that's the case, I think it's important to point out that I didn't respond positively or negatively to the issue of her post that has been the subject of the angst, at least not as I see it.

Were they also reprimanded by private message?

It's just my way of looking at it, but if he had reprimanded me for anything, I hope I'd not mention it publicly and I'd hope that I would do what I could to salvage an otherwise wonderful relationship.

I agree that we should move on and only responded because my name was mentioned in a context that I think might have been accidentally slightly misleading.
