I have been hearing a lot concerning how good the Jags are lately and I decided to look into it a little futher. 1. they have the least points allowed. 2. they have 35 sacks already. 3. 7-1 record. That in itselfs seems really great. But I don't think they are the best team in the AFC. They may even be the 3rd best team if you look at it closer. Check out their opponents over the first half of the season: 1999-2000 JAGUARS SCHEDULE Sunday September 12 San Francisco W 41-3 (Bad team; no defense; very little offense; offensive line sucks) Sunday September 19 @Carolina W 22-20 (Not much good on either side of the ball, average on both sides of the ball) Sunday September 26 Tennessee L 19-20 (First 'somewhat'good team they played.. and the LOST.) Sunday October 3 @Pittsburgh W 17-3 (Steelers; lack offensive power and kordell was sucking major eggs this week.) Monday October 11 @NY Jets W 16-6 (Nuff said Vinny; No offense and the defense will not play hard) Sunday October 17 Cleveland W 24-7 (They beat a new franchise!)
