Hi Clint,

WB is a value investor... so I would not use just one or two years of his performance to benchmark the stock against the market.... More interesting to me as an investor (not the trader) was his observation regarding new industries of the past. Actually looking at the history it is easier to make lot of money if one has ample resources and patience on the short side. In my case I don't have unlimited resources, so I need to play the momentum game to spice up the return. Give me 20 more years and I will let you know if my investment in BRK was a mistake :) Oh... I have decided to pull the money out of BRK only when he retires.

If anything I commend his moves sticking to real ROI. I remember that his firm stopped writing insurance when the risk premium was reduced to ridiculous levels and others were still writing insurance policy with that kind of premium just to be doing business.

> growth at any price translates to lofty stock prices

yep... it is also true in reverse.

Later,

Suresh
