Hate to burst your bubble, but those that ushered in the info age would be Jobs and Wozniak. Gates and Allen cashed in on a good thing, and manipulated the system to their advantage. (IF you want to get really technical, one could argue that there was never an "industrial" revolution, since that revolution was really based on the improvement of information processing system - machinery - and that this is just an extension of a long running information revolution. So I guess we owe Eli Whitney and Charles Babbage huge debts of gratitude! Oh, what the heck...it all comes down to Johannes Gutenberg.)

BTW, I know lots of AOL clickers who know considerably more about DOS and some of its precursors than most people.
