Off topic! <I check each week because i want to buy a new machine before the end of the year.>

What kind of machine do you want?

For me personally, I'm waiting for the new Celerons running at 550 or 600 MHz and with SSE (Coppermine-128) before I consider a system overhaul. That should be a few months after Y2K.

jmac:
S&P off 13. I get back to my point that CuMine with RDRAM just blow away anything Intel has out there with BX chipset and PIII below 600 MHz. The retailers have a lot of blowing to do to get rid of stocks of sub 600 MHz PC's for X-mas. This is nothing new but the timeframe from previous generation of 533 & 600 MHz PC'a to the new generation of 700 & 733 MHz PC's is incredible short, 2 months. It's going to be a vicious discounting season for PC sales.
