All NT needs on your C drive for a swap file is 2 megs. That's what I have on my NT system. I try to keep the C drive as small as possible since I use drive image for C. I have a minimum of 250 megs on one of the other drives.

If I recall correctly, If you have under 120 megs or so of swap file on C the debugging program won't work. It's ok with me since I rarely have problems and the info it provided was worthless to me.

Spots

reduce the partition to smaller than
NT was configured as the maximum C: swap file spice. That's a
guess.

Actually in between the time I noticed the boot problem and fixing it I was trying to work off w98, which is on a different drive and kept being interrupted that virtual memory was low. So your guess is at least in the right ball park if not right behind home plate. But I don't see how the swap file on C: can be a problem for D: on another drive.

So I have C: at 150mb now. I can afford to give another couple hundred the next time I'm in PM. Speaking of which version 5.0 is out. More informative graphic display and more file system conversion options plus a few other things. Very affordable as an ungrade from PM 4.

But thanks for shedding light on the subject.
