Another anecdotal complaint...ToysRUs flyer from Sunday paper showed Audrey Hepburn Barbie dolls on sale for $19.99, marked down from $60! Just who did MAT think was going to buy these dolls? Collectors? They still have Jill on their s*** list! FWIW, just another straw on the already-broken camel's back.

I know that the shareholder suits are counter-productive, but I for one would love to read Jill's deposition, wouldn't you?

There will, _eventually_, be a toxic-waste management cleanup at MAT, but it will IMHO require the major shareholders to elect a new BOD. To coin a fractured version of a Emerson quote, "Beware the wrath of a patient shareholder!"

John F.,

No interview ... but, did you see that File Photo? I didn't know that there was a Barbie Collection for adults.

Always a mistake to buy a company where you do not trust the management. My MAT experience will forever be etched in my mind. Still, I do not want to exacerbate my mistake by selling a business that you or I (not to put your management skills on the same sorry level as mine!) could easily run more adroitly.

Seems the handwriting is on the wall. It is just a matter of time.

I would love to get Mark H. Willes (new board member at MAT, Times Mirror CEO ... look what he has done for shareholders in that company during his tenure from 6/1/95 quote.yahoo.com ... experience at General Mills -- parent of Fisher-Price a few years back).
