Jill: Congrats on your gains with the 2000 Leaps. I also hold 2000 LEAPS (in fact, I have 2000 LEAPS in WCOM and INTC also; I love the leverage of LEAPS). Since you bought the LEAPS last spring, even if you sell them in January, just before expiration, you still will have to pay short term capital gains tax, which could cost you 40%+ of your gains. Are you contemplating exercising your options? Or are you simply going to sell the calls and absorb the huge tax hit?

Neal (sharing your QCOM pleasure and your potential tax pain.)
